ABC6 Bristol Rhode Island 4th of July Parade

The Annual Fourth of July Celebration, established in 1785, is the oldest continuous celebration of its kind in the United States. In keeping with that long standing tradition of honoring our nations independence, the Bristol Fourth of July Committee establishes its mission a means by which we can carry out mandate to have a patriotic observance in Bristol, Rhode Island that can best exemplify our National Heritage.

The Purpose of this Committee is to formulate, prepare and carry out all plans for the Annual Fourth of July Celebration. All members of the Committee are volunteers. The presiding Chairperson for the 2008/2009 Celebration is David A. Burns.

The Fourth of July Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will step-off at the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street (Rt. 114) and ends on High Street, between State Street and Bradford Street.

If you would like to donate to the Bristol Fourth of July Celebration, you can send your donations to the Bristol Fourth of July Committee, P.O. Box 561, Bristol, RI 02809. We thank you for your support!
